Visit: Slottskogen, Linné and Haga

Slottskogen

Gothenburgs Central Park

Welcome to Gothenburg’s main park. Take a stroll along the winding paths lined with leafy greenery and you’ll see why Slottsskogen is the locals' favourite place to unwind. You’ll also be able to see elks, Gotland ponies, Gute sheep and other Nordic animals in the park zoo.

Way out West - the large ourdoor festival is held in August in Slottskogen

Linné

Shops, cafés and restaurants in the west.

Linnéstaden, commonly known as Linné, is a laid-back neighourhood with plenty of local charm. By day a tempting mix of independent shops and cafés and by night a bustling borough with eateries and bars.

The main tree-lined boulevard is stretching from the square Järntorget all the way to the park Slottsskogen and few other streets in Sweden are so packed with restaurants. In summer the al fresco patios are located side-by-side with independent shops in fashion, health, beauty and interior design. As always, don't forget the side streets too and a visit can easily be combined with the nearby neighbourhoods Järntorget & Långgatorna and Haga.

Haga

Charming neighbourhood packed with cafés and shops.

Haga is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Gothenburg. The pedestrian street Haga Nygata is lined with well-preserved houses, many in the characteristic Gothenburg style called "landshövdingehus" with one floor in brick and the rest in wood. Today they house plenty of independent shops and cafés.
